Applying for RCB support

SKILLED EMPLOYER SPONSORED REGIONAL (SESR) (Effective 1 January 2020)

The role of a Regional Certifying Body (RCB) is to provide advice to the Department of Home Affairs on a SESR nomination using local area knowledge to provide advice on whether the nominee for the position will be paid at least the annual market salary rate for the occupation.

REGIONAL SPONSORED MIGRATION SCHEME (RSMS) (ceased 16 November 2019)

The Regional Certifying Body (RCB) assesses information provided by the employer for an RSMS nomination against three criteria to form an opinion on the nominated position. The three criteria are established by the Department of Home Affairs:

• Genuine need;
• Labour market  - position cannot be filled locally; and
• Employment conditions.

The RCB can only assess applications for RSMS nomination submitted with Home Affairs on or before 16 November 2019.

• Employers intending to lodge an application for RCB support must create an 'Employer account'

• Migration agents lodging an application on behalf of a client must create an 'Agency account.'
