After your Visa Grant

Let us know when your visa has been granted by emailing a copy of the visa grant notification to welcometocanberra@act.gov.au.

The Welcome to Canberra team offers a free settlement support service to ACT nominated skilled migrants moving from overseas. We will provide information and advice to help you move to Canberra by referring you to the relevant websites.

Monitoring Program

As part of your signed nomination obligations you have agreed to:

• Live and work in Canberra for at least two years from visa grant/arrival in Australia.

• Complete settlement surveys at 6, 12, 18 and 24 months after arrival.

• Inform us of any change to your contact details for two years after visa grant/arrival.
